l’Arc Winner’s Daughter set to debut in ance ?

As the re-opening of key race tracks continues to make headlines across the globe, the biggest headline of them all will the result of a race in France on Tuesday which will see the daughter of two Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner’s debut.

A filly by the name of Seamia won 2009 l’Arc Sea The Stars and out of 2012 l’Arc winner Solemia, the filly bred and retained to race by Solemia’s owners Alain and Gerard Wertheimer.

Spanish-born trainer Carlos Laffon-Parias won his first and only L’Arc with Solemia and will now take the reins of his daughter Seamia with jockey Maxime Guyon piloting the high-profile filly in her first racetrack start.

The Prix Producer (2100m) at Saint-Cloud is a race which is restricted to three-year-old fillies having their first start and is traditionally used as a starting point for well-bred fillies.

The Prix Producer is the first of a 10-card race at Saint-Cloud on Tuesday.

French Racing resumed racing on May 11 however all races will be conducted behind closed doors. Racing is beginning to reopen across New York, Canada and Ireland while the UK have released provisional racing dates for their return.
