PERCY’S PRINCE makes fair appeal on return to the flat following a single failed effort over timber. Up 3lb from his Kempton win in September, he may need a run but could still prove too good here with his rider taking 7lboff. SIR JOSEPH SWAN is yet to score on this surface but was a pleasing 3rd at Kempton latest. He is off an unchanged 53 and can get involved at the finish.

Race 2 – Lingfield Racecourse
JACKIE DIAMOND held on nicely for a surprise 40/1 2nd on debut at Brighton in June. With that under her belt, she could get her way now afforded another furlong as she tackles the Poly. ELLEXIS made a pleasing start to life when 4th at Ascot last month. She’s also expected to come forward markedly for the experience.

ALFRED COVE makes appeal now fitted with a hood on first outing for George Scott. He showed a lot to like in his turf starts for the O’Meara team and could be ready to exit the maidens. ON REFLECTION found 3rd on debut before landing 6th but he actually improved his margins there and could have much more to come now ruined with Jack Mitchell.

KENILWORTH KING was toppled by just a nose on handicap bow at Wolverhampton. The form has worked out magnificently, with 1st, 3rd, and 4th all winning since. A 2lb higher perch looks lenient and he can go one better here. LUNA QUEEN found 3rd over C&D on penultimate outing and could relish the drop after struggling over 10f on turf at Yarmouth.

THAPA VC retraced the winning thread over C&D at the end of July. He has gone up 3lb for the effort and looks well-placed for a double. FORD MADOX BROWN has found the frame the last 4 times running and is fitted with first-time cheekpieces. They may help his cause but he might have to settle for another minor prize.

REAL ESTATE was a convincing winner at Chelmsford in June before being awarded success over C&D after the race by the stewards. He is up 2lb for that effort and has a seriously good prospect at the hat trick here. VIEWFROMTHESTARS has been threatening of late and could get his way off a 55 mark.
