MARSH WREN was an easy winner on rules debut in a Southwell bumper back in March. With that under her belt as she goes up in trip and over hurdles she looks set for further improvement. GET A TONIC was a good runner-up on hurdle bow at Uttoxeter and with that under her belt she should get involved in the finish.

Race 2 – Leicester Racecourse
ROBINSHILL notched a couple of hurdle wins capped off with a chase win to land a nice cross-code hat trick to finish of 2020. He lines up off a 1lb lower mark than the first of those wins and could get right back on the scoreboard. COLDEN’S DREAM was a solid 4th on handicap bow at Worcester and should come forward off a 2lb lower mark.

MONARCHOFTHEGRANGE was pleasing in 3rd on comeback run at Newbury 11 days ago. He comes down in class and can put that run to good work. GAIA VALLIS was last seen 2nd at this level at Stratford and should be on the premises once more.

LYDFORD is very interesting on hurdle and yard bow for Dan Skelton after a brief but fruitful flat career under Roger Varian. ZABEEL CHAMPION is another useful flat type going over timber and Jonjo O’Neill is likely to have him well-readied for this task.

ANGELS LANDING didn’t finish outside the money in her 6 runs on the flat. She capped it off with a win just last month and was a pleasing 3rd on hurdle bow at Ludlow over slightly longer. She maintains a large scope for improvement and looks primed to go better. MACHA is worth a look on UK/yard/NH debut for David Pipe after a short but quality career in France.

MOTION IN LIMINE has found a couple of well-treated sorts too good the last twice. Now making 3rd start for the Newland team he could make up the difference in a more moderate field on paper. RABSKI was a strong 2nd on comeback run at Newton Abbot and will have plenty more to come.
