COOL WINTER was an eye-catching runner up on debut over C&D at lovely 12/1 odds. With that run under his belt he looks like he could take some serious stopping. THUNDERSTONE is the newcomer of note for Roy Magner, sporting some useful names in the bloodline. Check the market.

BARD OF AVON looks hard to oppose as a C&D winner who is the pick on form while retaining an extensive scope for improvement. ULTRA QUICK is respected as he tackles this trip for the first time, he has shown enough over 6f to suggest this could be a positive.

KAPTEIN MARTIENS opened the account when fitted with blinkers and has since had a short spell. Now the penny has dropped and he’s fit and fresh he could take another step forward. TRUE BRIT fared better than the raw result over 6f at Vaal when 9th. Now back over optimum trip he could be a player.

MUFASA had his unbeaten streak ended when sent off over further on comeback run. Now fit and fresh he could get right back on the scoreboard. CAPTAIN MORISCO scored narrowly over C&D on comeback run and has to be considered now lining up from pole positon and in peak shape.

AL SAKEET needed the run when 6th on comeback over 6f here. Reverting to 5f where he is 4 from 4 can see him bounce straight back. CIRILLO is very intriguing dropping back to this trip where he has posted some narrow defeats. He has battled to strike a blow over further of late so the change of pace might pay off.

ANYTIME CHAMP won nicely on debut over 6f here before being sent off to a G1 and not landing a blow but not being disgraced either. Now back from a spell he can put his experience to work in calmer waters but does have to concede weight. WINTER WITH JO was a decent 3rrd on double bid over C&D latest. Back from 116 days off, he might need a run but could still feature.

TRACK COMMANDER is better than the 8th we saw over this tri at Vaal and was a solid 7f winner here preceding. He was progressing well before that effort and we can put a line through it and expect better. ELUSIVE SWANN is a C&D winner who was last seen winning by a neck over this trip at Vaal. He can shoot for the double and has strong claims to do so.
