NORTHERN EXPRESS won here over 7f back in June and hasn’t been disgraced since. This looks an easier task on paper off a 94 mark. EMPIRESTATEOFMIND has found 2nd in both outings since winning over this trip at Thirsk. A 95 mark is workable and he’s capable of landing plenty of blows.

STREETS OF GOLD has won all 4 races to date, including over 6f here on penultimate outing. Now tackling 7f for the first time he could take plenty of beating now returned to better ground. SHOULDVEBEENARING tried prominent tactics when 4th at Newbury on his attempt to land a quartet. They didn’t pay off but he could bounce back now up in trip and reverting to a proven method.

NATHANIEL GREENE comes back from a few months off following a narrow but pleasing trip win at Haydock in first-time cheekpieces. An 8lb hike is slightly hefty but his improvement was impressive and he could have much more to come voter this trip. POST IMPRESSIONIST is a stablemate to the selection who could have something to say following a ½ length 3rd when fitted with his own cheekpieces.

MATTICE didn’t see out the full 6f when ¾ of a length 3rd in the Ayr Bronze Cup last month. A drop back to 5f off 2lb higher could be enough to get him to retrace the wining thread. ALLIGATOR ALLEY enters calculations having won at Thirsk on penultimate outing before a fair 4th in a much stronger race when upped in grade at Haydock.
