DO IT FOR THY SEN won cosily over C&D when last seen in May. He could come out swinging off just 4lb higher but might have to settle for a minor prize.

Race 2 – Southwell Racecourse
COLEMANSTOWN LAD made a fair impression when 3 lengths 4th on chase bow at Uttoxeter late last month. Another spin off the same mark as well as a longer trip can see him sharpen up plenty. ABINGTON PARK is a decent sort who could land plenty of blows if allowed to get in front early. He had wind surgery recently and could eke out further improvement.

FAVOUR AND FORTUNE gets a nod on debut for Alan King, with Tom Cannon taking the ride. He has some Grade winners in the bloodline and could be well-readied indeed. DIVILSKIN is a winner between the flags but hasn’t been seen since. He could make a winning debut under rules now under the care of Paul Nicholls.

QUEENS ROCK is well-bred for this sphere and made a pleasing impression in 2nd on debut at Ffos Las, despite being beaten favourite. She might need the outing here but could still go well enough to account for a weak field. IMPERIAL PRIDE showed the right stuff in 3rd at Huntingdon on rules debut. She can improve further for the outing and can find a way into the frame.

MISTY MANI couldn’t hold on when upped to a slightly tougher event on the hunt for a 4 timer. She can bounce right back, with her rider taking a crucial 7lb off. HIGHER GROUND hasn’t been able to build on a promising debut 3rd but that could change now going handicapping for the Twiston-Davies team.

SUPREME YEATS hinted at a maiden success being imminent when 2nd on comeback from 397 days off. He obliged over C&D latest, albeit by a short margin after squandering some of his lead. He can back it up if tightening up his technique and the 5lb rise is dampened nicely by his rider’s 3lb claim. BLENKINSOP is a danger off just 4lb higher following a narrow but determined maiden win at Ludlow. He should have plenty more to come but still has a job in toppling the selection.

LELANTOS was pulled up on chase bow but we can ignore that as he returns to hurdles. His form in these ranks is very strong and he should be able to retrace the winning thread here. GRILLON DE MONTY is a proven sort in France and could make a dent on UK debut for Dan Skelton.
