He has struck off 101 before and should be fitter for a Kempton comeback at the end of October. JACK DARCY is a useful sort who remains unexposed. NINE TENTHS should be much sharper for a decent debut effort at Doncaster when 4th over this trip. If she takes to the surface she can prove a big player for Willie Haggas. LADY MARIE showed plenty to like in 3rd on debut over 7f here. A shortened trip could suit her chances.

CALLUNA made a good first impression in4th over C&D before sharpening plenty to land 2nd at Wolverhampton since. She can continue her plotted course and could go very well here. DESTINED went down by just ½ a length on debut at Ripon in September. She could fill the same role here or even challenge if taking to the Tapeta.

Race 4 – Newcastle Racecourse
ABSOLUTE QUEEN has found the frame in all 3 runs to date and could be ready to exit the maidens if not in need of the outing. An opening mark of 74 and Saffie Osborne’s 3lb see her very well-treated on nursery bow. CHAMPAGNE SARAH is on the radar after opening the account by a length over 6f here at the start of the month. She could have more to come off 6lb higher.

MRS U S A was last seen 13th in a valuable Class 2 at York back in August. She wasn’t too far beaten that day and had plenty of traffic issues. She can bounce back to her best at this level off the same 81 mark. OMNIQUEEN notched a success on debut at Ascot before being plunged into Group level events. She didn’t land a blow but can still draw on the experience and make her presence felt.

POCKLEY has rediscovered form since returning to the AW here of late. He is up 2lb for a nose defeat over 6f and can gain compensation now dropped in trip. CARLTON AND CO showed a big step in the right direction when 4th over C&D off this mark last month.

MR TREVOR has won his last 2 outings over C&D and makes plenty of appeal off just 3lb higher. He is in excellent heart of late and can put another foot forward. VINDOBALA is on the radar having won over the mile here latest and has since changed yards.

GOING UNDERGROUND won his maiden over C&D on penultimate outing before being denied a double by ½ a length when upped 5lb. He was denied an opening there and could still get back on top despite another 2lb hike. PRINCE HECTOR was 2nd to the selection here when he score and wasn’t disgraced in 4th at Redcar since. He is headed in the right direction and can find himself thereabouts.

BELLAGIO MAN shades the verdict following a victory by a nose over C&D latest. Cheekpieces have sharpened him up plenty and he can double down in a competitive event off 3lb higher. GOLDEN APOLLO looks dangerous having won 2 of his last 4, including on the AW at Southwell in October.
