ROAMIN IN GLOAMIN is respected having a 72 mark but hasn’t been his best the last twice but prior to that his 6f 2nd at Kempton behind a clever rival looks form enough in this sort of low-level affair. ATTENTIVE wasn’t great in 4th on handicap bow but could benefit from Tom Marquand keeping the ride and receipt of 5lb from the selection.

FAIR AND SQUARE took a leap forward when 2nd by a nose at Wolverhampton over this trip. A 3lb higher mark is cancelled by Mark Crehan’s 3lb claim so he could go one better. PINK STORM is respected having won by a neck at Newcastle 22 days ago but may struggle to give 6lb to the selection. The blinkers have helped Karl Burke’s filly sharpen up so they could foster further improvement.

STORM MELODY does his best work over this C&D including a win and a short head 2nd in his past couple of outings. He can weather top weight and still press his leading claims. TOPLIGHT has struck form over AW surfaces and has to be respected in this line-up.

LIBBRETTA deserves a maiden win by now and has done her best work to date over C&D, placing in 4 of 5 attempts. A 56 mark and George Rooke’s 3lb claim see her placed well to take the final step forward. PILLARS OF EARTH has a hat trick on the line and is interesting going back up in trip after a 3lb hike. He is in top shape and could take some beating if the selection isn’t ready to score.

ENFRANCHISE was 2nd by a length over C&D latest and off the same mark, Mark Johnston’s filly could go one better with a similar effort now in calmer waters. FOUNTAIN CROSS was denied by a neck over slightly shorter at Wolverhampton on yard bow for Alan King and with Hollie Doyle retaining the ride could throw down the gauntlet.

ADDINGHAM caught the eye when away slowly but sharpening up late to land 2nd to a classy sort on debut over the mile here early in the month. With that under her belt and the services of Tom Marquand, Willie Haggas’ gelding looks tough to beat from pole position. WENDELL’S LAD is out of a winning Dam and is worth a closer look on debut with Hollie Doyle in the irons.
