Race 2 – Lingfield Racecourse
HOOVES LIKE JAGGER has won his last couple by narrow margins over this trip at Wolverhampton. He’s doing just enough and looks capable of wearing the 5lb penalty to successfully land the hat trick. DONYA edged out a narrow victory over C&D in January and wasn’t disgraced when 2nd at Southwell 15 days ago.

SHARAC showed a lot to like when 4th on debut over this trip at Kempton for Roger Varian. With that under her belt and Jack Mitchell in the irons once more she should go very well indeed. CRIOLLO is respected after battling out a C&D victory by a neck latest but will do well to concede 7lb to the selection.

ALJARYAAL is in top form since joining Joseph Parr and has serious claims but trip suitability is taken entirely on trust. Harry Burns takes a handy 5lb off so the pair could get their way here. SMITH does all his best work over this C&D and can easily pick up the pieces if the selection can’t handle this trip.

SHOOT TO KILL is a progressive sort who has reached a whole new level of form since joining Robyn Brisland. Undefeated in 3 starts for this yard, the margins are shrinking but he is still getting better and better with each run so gets the nod for a 4 timer off 3lb higher. FOX POWER made all to score over the extended mile at Wolverhampton on first outing since joining Mick Appleby and has to enter calculations.

WYVERN is a progressive sort who has 5+ in hand when shedding the maiden tag over C&D last month. He heads into the handicaps off a very workable 81 with Marco Ghiani retaining the ride. MY DUBAWI battled his way to victory at Kempton by a short head over this trip in October. He backed it up when returning in January to score with 2+ in hand at Wolverhampton and has to be respected on hat trick bid off 8lb higher.

STORM ASSET has won 2 of his last 3 and makes fair appeal dropping back in trip once more. He’s in top shape and should continue along his rich vein of form. BANG ON THE BELL has been coming to the boil nicely, finding fair improvement with each run since being fitted with blinkers. He can build on his ¾ length 3rd over C&D.

SHABS made huge improvement when sent off handicapping, going down into 2nd by a nose over 7f at Wolverhampton. A drop back in trip with that under his belt could be the missing piece of the puzzle. ARLECCHINO’S GIFT has found good form of late, winning over C&D before not being disgraced in 3rd at Southwell last month.
