STRAWBERRY LIGHT makes significant appeal on return to 6f after struggling to see out 7f at Durbanville. She is fitted with blinkers and if they have the desired effect she could be a tough nut to crack. ELLA’S DELIGHT has stuck the crossbar the last twice over 7f. The drop in trip could prove the right move, keep an eye out.

DOUBLE CHECK took out a nice feature race at Fairview last month and has really sharpened up since being fitted with blinkers of late. She can remain competitive now up against the boys again. THEFUTUREISBRIGHT is a stablemate to the selection and could prove dangerous coming down in grade following some solid efforts at Listed level.

SILVANO’S TIMER was a most pleasing 5th over the mile here in a Grade 3 on comeback run. He should be fitter for the outing and can improve further at this level. SOMERSET MAUGHAM is on the radar following a short head success over 10f at Durbanville in a Listed event. He shouldn’t be troubled by the shortened run and can find himself involved at the finish.

TWICE THE MASTER has won 2 of his last 3 and retains plenty of appal here. He has accounted for some of these in the past and could uphold the form despite a swing at the weights. MACHETE MAN returns to the scene of his last success and could build on a recent Durbanville 2nd.

FUTURE SWING has found the frame in all 5 outings, including 2nd by a neck over C&D following his maiden success. He should have more to come over this trip and can make the most of pole position. KITCHAKAL has a similar profile to the selection and looks dangerous following his own neck 2nd in a stronger race over 7f here. He could find the mile to his liking as he concedes weight all round.

TCHAIKOVSKY went down by a short head over slightly further here early in the month. He can bounce back on return to his ideal trip at a level he’s proven at. RAGNAR LOTHBROK hasn’t been disgraced here the last twice and should relish a return to 5f, having done all his best work over C&D.

FUN ZONE is a track and trip winner who has improved between outings following a rest. She’s headed for another success and looks good enough to put forth a bold bid. PRICELESS showed up green on debut but still managed to score by a neck over 5f at Durbanville. She should be wiser for the effort and could remain unbeaten for Brett Crawford.

QUANDARY is better than the 9th we saw over C&D latest, which came in a competitive Listed affair. His prior form is solid and he can make a dent back down in grade. RED IMPACT has been doing excellent work over 5f and could unlock even more for another furlong of run. Watch the betting here.
