DEATH BLOW has found some prize money in his last 6 starts and now out of pole positon may well be in a spot to have his consistency rewarded with a deserved maiden win. WULFSTON misfired when beating just one home over 5f her latest. He’s capable of making amends now tackling the mile from a fair draw of 4.

Race 3 – Greyville Racecourse
NATIONAL DREAM has found the frame in 2 of 3 starts, and while well-held in each there’s ample potential to unleash. Normal improvement may be enough to see Alyson Wright’s gelding open the account. PETECA has stuck the crossbar the last twice, including when denied by just a neck here latest. The extra trip may well be key to getting him out of the maidens.

Race 4 – Greyville Racecourse
SEA MASTER has been narrowly beaten into 2nd the last twice, each on this surface. A drop back in trip might be enough to enhance his compensation claims. EXCEED EXPECTATION won narrowly over C&D on penultimate run and might be able to back it up after several months rest following a lacking 6th on turf here.

Race 5 – Greyville Racecourse
RUNAWAY SONG has done little wrong to date and showed a good liking to this surface when ¾ of a length 2nd over C&D on return from a short spell. He’s well-drawn and should be able to dig deep enough to contest the finish again. SWING UPON A STAR wasn’t too much on debut but made enormous improvement on 2nd start when sent off over C&D. He’s out of pole position and is capable of doubling up on a surface that suits him.

Race 6 – Greyville Racecourse
PETRA is in top shape of late, landing in the money the last 5 times. She is surface-versatile and has the best of the draws to work from. LEE EXPRESS isn’t the most consistent filly out there but has shown capability when she wants to. She’s worth watching as she attempts the AW for the first time.

DESERT PRIDE gets a vote on yard bow for Garth Puller. She wasn’t disgraced in 5th when tackling this surface for the first time over 7f in April and now dropped to her winning trip and out of gate one we could see her bounce back to winning ways. HATTA has been not far beaten in all 6 post-maiden runs and while she’s got a bit of work to do for win purposes makes fair place appeal here.

Race 8 – Greyville Racecourse
GIMME A LULLABY took a fair step in the right direction when a length 3rd over the extended 9f here last month. She’s dropped markedly in trip but it also sees her line up over the C&D of her maiden win in October. GLOBAL SECRET is worth watching as she returns to the AW for the first time since May 2021. Her last effort wasn’t great but her prior form sees her a chance if she can bring it across.
