This looks an ideal spot for him to find even more. FORGOTTEN TIME has rattled the crossbar the last twice and looks capable of going one better on AW debut after his latest effort took a serious shot in the arm from the winner.

HALLERBOS got within ½ a length of success over 7f here on penultimate outing. He wasn’t disgraced when 4th on return here from a wide draw. A drop in trip might be enough here to compensate for a less-than-ideal draw of 6. AL BUGATTI has been finishing behind some very respectable sots on the Western Cape and demands resect making his first appearance here for Vaughan Marshall.

GREENGROWTHELILACS made her debut here in 3rd over 7f and has been doing good work across the nation since. A return here and a drop back to the mile could be enough to see her back on top. TOP ME UP HOLLY held off a well-handicapped progressive rival by a short head over C&D latest and demands respect, especially if she can get an early lead.

SYX HOTFIX notched a nice double here including a leg over C&D and wasn’t disgraced when 2nd to a useful type carrying much less latest. The shortened trip and best of the draws might be enough to see him right back on the scoreboard. GALABIER is respected lining up for a hat trick for Lorenzo Karriem. He won both legs from strong draws so will have a lot to do here launching from gate 8.

WINTER’S DESTINY has been doing respectable effort in defeat of late, including 3rd over the mile here when her saddle slipped. She’s at her best on this surface and looks the kind who has a lot of offer given time. PERFECT APPEAL made a fair impression in 3rd in her post-maiden race when carrying a very light load. Her rider still takes 9lb off and she can make further headway.

SCENT OF A WOMAN looks worth chancing as she goes up significantly in trip for the in-form Glen Kotzen team. Her last couple of efforts have been lacking but this shake up combined with a nice draw could see her reinvigorated. KILEIGH’S FATE won well over 6f here on penultimate outing and wasn’t disgraced in 3rd on return. Another sort who could find plenty more now upped in trip.

MR MASTER STARTER showed a return to the early promise of his first couple of outings when home over C&D on AW debut in late April. Now he’s back on the scoreboard he’s capable of doubling up despite the wide draw. PROUD MASTER returned a gelding to score over 6f here and looks in a fair spot for another strong bid out of gate 4.

ALFONSA SPAGONI has won his last couple by narrow margins from wide draws. This is an even worse draw but he’s highly capable and looks the one to account for on hat trick bid. BEVOETERD can make a play if the selection finds himself grounded. He’s found 4th in both runs on the Aw and looks likely to benefit from the longer trip.
