HONEST QUEST has shown ample promise in a couple of outings here over turf and may well find the final piece of the puzzle now tackling the Polytrack. KUZNETSOV could land a few blows now making yard/AW bow for Duncan McKenzie. A drop in trip should see him recover from a 7f 9th where he found the trip a bit much.

Race 2 – Fairview Racecourse
IQEMBULABESIFAZANE showed fair improvement in first-time blinkers when 5th over C&D. She strikes as the sort who does have potential, it just needs to be tapped properly. SAILAWAY WITH ME has been improving with each start over turf of late and might be able to bring the progression back to the Polytrack.

Race 3 – Fairview Racecourse
WAR MAN has done his best work on this surface, finding the frame by under a length in his first 2 outings for Sharon Kotzen here. Now under the care of Kumaran Naidoo and returning to the AW we could see a big effort. JACK IN THE BOX wasn’t suited by the 12f when 3rd of 5 at the start of April. He has to enter the equation back over a much more suitable trip range.

Race 4 – Fairview Racecourse
TO THE MAX made a fair impression in 3rd over C&D on local debut after a change of yards. She’s at her best on the artificial surface and should have more to come after a short rest to recover from a minor injury incurred in the run. MASTERS QUEEN did well in 6th from a lousy draw over C&D latest. She’s got scope and could push into the frame with a similar effort.

Race 5 – Fairview Racecourse
EUPHORIC has hit a fair pocket of form without winning since joining Jacques Strydom as he gets the hang of this course. He’s accounted for a fair few of these in the past and looks capable of getting back on the scoreboard here. HOMER FIDGET comes off a short head victory over C&D last month and is capable of backing it up from a slightly better draw.

Race 6 – Fairview Racecourse
SAVANNAH WINTER was impressive when runner-up from a shocking draw over slightly shorter last month. She’s somewhat better off out of gate 10 today and could still manage to strike. DRIVE BY is dangerous over an ideal C&D from pole position. She’s at her best here and conditions are ripe.

Race 7 – Fairview Racecourse
JOYFUL NOISE hasn’t been at her best over turf of late but a drop in trip and return to the AW could be enough. She’s also paired with Kaidan Brewer’s 3lb claim and can put another foot forward despite the wide draw. GLACIER GOLD is in top form, fresh off a hat trick over grass. She’s less exposed over this surface so could prove vulnerable especially without Greg Cheyne in the irons.

Race 8 – Fairview Racecourse
STORM CHASER is far better than the 10th we saw here over turf when gunning for a 4 timer. He’s entitled to bounce back over a surface he is capable on. MESMERIZING MOON has been doing good work in defeat of late and has a solid record on the synthetic. 2 wins and 8 placing from 14 is a good rate and she looks a useful place prospect again.
