Race 2 – Fairview Racecourse
LEMME GO made a fair impression in 2nd on local/yard bow for Kelly Mitchley. Blinkers are having a positive effect and he can continue to sharpen up here. TRUMPS EXPRESS is better than the 11th we saw here latest. He has work to do to exit the maidens but could still find a way into the equation.

OPENING CEREMONY is getting better as he goes and is of fair appeal now headed up in trip once more. This contest won’t take much winning so he’s looking set for an honest effort. JOE HARMAN has found the frame here a few times and could pick up another minor prize.

VAN GOGH hasn’t been able to land a blow in a couple of sprints here of late. This trip could be the missing piece to rejuvenate him. AMERICAN LANDING hasn’t been much of late but demands respect as a C&D winner who could muster a coherent bid here.

BOLD RESOLVE went down by ¾ of a length into 4th over C&D when shooting for a hat trick. He can bounce right back today and should be right there at the finish. MHLABENI has been in excellent form since April and will not be troubled by the drop in trip here.

BORN A STAR isn’t the most consistent sort out there but on a good day has shown himself capable of a competitive effort over C&D. This isn’t a very strong contest so he might be able to step up to the plate. DAMMI has done his best work on the AW but did show some early promise on the turf here.

EKORIA is looking very hard to beat on her way to bigger and better. Returning from 109 days off she should be able to keep her streak alive, with a handy 9lb claimer aboard. RED BERRY is a reliable mare for Alan Greeff who wouldn’t be challenging out of turn but might have to settle for another minor prize.

BETHEL managed to fire up on his 3rd run since being fitted with a visor, getting home over C&D with authority at a nice 20/1 price. A double could be on the cards for Cliffie Miller’s 4 year old. PSYCHEDELIC ERIC has been doing good work here of late and should be able to enter the fray.
