SELF PRAISE had to settle for 2nd when sent off a very short favourite at Newmarket latest. His prior 2nd over 6f here was excellent and he’s quite able to make amends here. BENACRE is worth a look on debut with some useful relations. He should be ready to roll for Mark Johnston.

LARADO was denied success over the mile at Salisbury by just a nose when sent off at 22/1 odds. He’s looking quite capable of making amends off the same mark as he returns to a course he has won very well over in the past. MARLAY PARK has a strong local record which never goes astray here. He’s capable of a big bounce back in these ideal surrounds.

SAGAUTEUR has won his last 2 by a short head, allowing him to escape the wrath of the assessor. A further 4lb rise can be weathered here as he vies for a nice hat trick. CURTIZ hasn’t been at his best but a return to this course where he is 2 from 3 could see his fortunes take a turn.

BOY GEORGE notched a narrow but no less pleasing double at Windsor and Chepstow before not being disgraced when 2nd by a neck on hat trick bid at Brighton. He’s poorly-drawn but can take another leap forward as he gets better and better. NIGHT EAGLE is a local winner which always bodes well here. He’s back in winning form following a short head success at Lingfield and should be able to handle the return to 12f.
