Between Gearoid Harney’s 10lb claim and the conceding of weight from rivals we should see him go one better. GUERLAIN DE VAUX fired up late to score on hurdle bow after the most competitive rival fell. He warrants respect lining up here but doesn’t get the outright vote.

TANORA posted a solid 2nd over C&D on New Year’s Day on first run since wind surgery. Off a 2lb higher perch we could see her go one better. WORLD TRIP has lost her way a bit but blinkers could see her recapture the form of her 13 length Perth win in April.

TUMBLING DICE did excellent late work to score over C&D with 3 in hand at the start of the year. A 5lb higher mark might not impede him if able to replicate the effort. MELANAMIX is proving to be a progressive sort, last seen a promising 2nd over 19f. She could be up to task but trip suitability is taken on trust.

A DIFFERENT KIND has done no wrong since joining The Don McCain yard, winning all 4 starts under rules. This looks an ideal opening to keep that streak alive and well under a 10lb penalty. ANY GIVIN SUNDAY could offer the most resistance on past form but needs to recover from a very lacking Plumpton 5th.

ALMAZHAR GARDE is 1 from 1 here and will have his prospects enhanced by any drying of the track.

ART OF DIPLOMACY chased home a clever rival at Hereford latest and could go one better off the same mark on 3rd outing for Richard Newland. BILL BAXTER should relish this up in trip as he seeks to build on his already solid form over timber.

ANYHARMINASKING is a winner between the flags in Ireland and has shown plenty of promise in 3 hurdle outings. He heads into the handicaps now off a very workable 114 mark for Jonjo O’Neill. PEARL WARRIOR could offer plenty of resistance having improved with each start since being sent off over timber.
