TFOU made a promising start under rules when 2nd here in a bumper back in January. He attracted strong support when 4th on hurdle bow at Newcastle and looks the sort who can sharpen enough for the experience to be a player here. MOURNE LASS demands respect on a second raid from across the Irish Sea following a promising 2nd at Carlisle in February. Brian Hughes being an especially pleasing booking.

DONNA’S DELIGHT makes most appeal at the course he has done all his best work over. 3 of 4 career wins have come here and he’s entering with strong compensation claims after going down by ½ a length over 3m here a month back. HOUSTON TEXAS demands respect on the hunt for a hat trick after getting home by a short head at Carlisle latest. He comes down in grade but the 5lb hike could see him foiled by the selection.

HIDDEN COMMANDER is a winner between the flags who struggled to make any real impression in the hurdle ranks. He left all that behind him when send off into the chase ranks at Kelso, bolting up with 20 in hand. He’s likely to give another strong account now in his element, despite the 7lb penalty. MONSIEUR CO looks capable of chasing the selection home after finding the frame the last thrice since being reunited with Brian Hughes.

RACKS CROSS took a huge step forward when 4th here on first outing for team Harriet & Rutherford. She is a winning pointer who has ample potential as she matures in the handicap ranks. MISS BAMBY is mentioned as the sole entrant with any sort of recent winning form to build on. Last seen home narrowly at Hereford in October, she could make a splash on comeback from 182 days off.

SHOESHINE BOY has rattled the crossbar the last 4 times, constituting all his outing sin the handicap ranks. His latest defeat came over C&D by a short head and he looks the type who is most deserving of having his consistency rewarded despite a further 4lb hike. ASKGARMOR is starting to find his way since going handicapping and he looks well-perched for a bold bid at a track he’s done some of his best at.

GEROMINO is a talented hurdle for Donald McCain but has also proven himself an apt recruit to chasing. Well-backed over this trip at Carlisle, he held on with 3+ in hand and looks likely to double up in a 2 horse field. DOUGLAS TALKING is respected off the back off a fall on a hat trick bid and is clearly capable of making amends with one sole rival to account for. Avoid this race if you can.
